Get in Touch

CannabisNewYorkCity.org is an educational resource, not a cannabis business. We don’t sell products, provide legal advice, or operate dispensaries. We welcome your feedback to help keep this site accurate and useful for residents, tourists, federally-employed New Yorkers, and CAURD operators.

Report Inaccurate Information

NYC cannabis policy evolves with OCM rule-making, court rulings, mayoral directive, and city council action. The MRTA framework, Operation Padlock metrics, OCM leadership, and the Kerrigan-ruling status have all changed multiple times since 2021. If you notice information on this site that is outdated or incorrect, please reach out and let us know. Include the page URL and the specific information that needs correction so we can update it promptly.

Suggest Improvements

Is there a borough cluster, dispensary cluster, equity issue, or cultural figure we haven’t covered well enough? An OCM development we should reflect? A cannabis-cultural site we should add? We’d love to hear your suggestions for making CannabisNewYorkCity.org more useful.

About Our Team

CannabisNewYorkCity.org is maintained by a small team of researchers and writers committed to providing free, accurate cannabis information. We are not affiliated with any dispensary, producer, industry group, advocacy organization, or law firm. Our only goal is to make NYC cannabis law and resources accessible.

For Legal Advice

This site does not provide legal advice. For arrest situations, employment matters, university student-conduct proceedings, or business decisions, consult a New York-licensed attorney. The New York State Bar Association maintains a Lawyer Referral Service. The New York City Bar Association covers NYC specifically. The Legal Aid Society’s Case Closed Project (caseclosed@legal-aid.org, 212-298-3120) assists with cannabis-conviction expungements and motions to vacate.

For Medical Questions

This site does not provide medical advice. For cannabis-therapeutic questions, consult a New York-licensed physician familiar with cannabinoid pharmacology. The Drug Policy Alliance NY and NORML NYC maintain referral lists of recommending physicians.

For Federal-Workplace Questions

If you work for a DOT-regulated employer, the MTA, the Port Authority, the Federal Reserve Bank of NY, the FBI/DEA New York Field Division, federal courts, or any other federally-tested position, the New York state legalization does not protect you. Consult an employment attorney before any cannabis-related decision.
